Kia Clavis Engine and Performance
Kia Clavis XUV has three engine options including a 1.5 liter naturally aspirated petrol engine that generates 115 bhp of power and 144 Nm of torque. And a 1.5 liter turbo petrol engine that generates maximum power of 160 bhp and 253 Nm of torque. Both these engines are mated to a 6-speed iMT and 7-speed DCT (Dual Clutch Transmission) box. Apart from this, it has a 1.5 liter diesel engine which generates maximum power of 116 bhp and 250 Nm of torque and this engine is mated to a 6-speed manual or 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission gear box. So, it looks like Kia Clavis is another feature-loaded, stylish and premium car that can give good performance from highway to street roads.

And it also shows a new 10.25-inch fully digital driver display with ADAS technology. Apart from this, this XUV has a 12.3-inch touchscreen, wireless phone charger and dual-zone auto, 360-degree camera setup, and the safety suite includes 6 airbags (as standard), ESC and front and rear parking sensors.
Although its real design has not been seen in the teaser, some spied test mules showed connected LED tail lights, which look similar to the current-spec Kia Carnival. Compared to the Carens MPV, the Clavis could get new alloy wheel designs and redesigned bumpers and for safety, it could get 6 airbags (as standard), electronic stability control (ESC) and front and rear parking sensors apart from a 360-degree camera and ADAS.

But the interior is expected to get a completely new look with a new and more modern-looking dashboard design. While the seating layout could be similar to the Carens, it could get different seat upholstery with extensive use of sustainable materials.

Kia Clavis Expected Price
Kia Clavis XUV has not been launched in India yet but its teaser has been released. This XUV will be launched in India on 8 May 2025, priced in India at Rs 10.60 lakh to Rs 19.70 lakh ex-showroom. After being launched in India, this car will compete with cars like Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon and Maruti Brezza.
